KAUM Bali
Regional Indonesian recipes from across the archipelago at Desa Potato Head, Seminyak.
Indonesian heritage, shared
KAUM is the Indonesian restaurant on the beach club’s first level at Desa Potato Head on Jalan Petitenget, Seminyak, in Bali, and describes itself as a celebration of Indonesia’s food culture, with recipes gathered from communities across the archipelago. The interior references different parts of the country.
The menu runs from small plates and grilled dishes to large plates for sharing, vegetables, rice, sambal and a section made only for Bali, with two set menus: a journey through Bali and a journey through East Indonesia. The Honeycombers calls the beef rendang a benchmark and recommends gado-gado KAUM and ayam bakar. The bar uses Indonesian ingredients, from jamu-inspired drinks to cocktails rested for 21 days in Balinese kendi clay pots. It opens daily from noon to 10 pm, with a sundown session on the balcony in the late afternoon.
