Kang Minchul Restaurant
Korean and Asian reimaginations of French cuisine in Gangnam, one Michelin star.
Kang Minchul Restaurant is a contemporary French restaurant on the fifth floor of 18 Dosan-daero 63-gil in Gangnam. It holds one Michelin star in the 2026 Michelin Guide South Korea.
The cooking
Many dishes are Korean or Asian reimaginations of traditional French cuisine, inspired by the chef’s collaborations and travels. Michelin cites unexpected pairings such as a sauce of burnt dried bamboo shoots and blueberries, and a French dish with a broth of dried shiitake and miyeok. The restaurant moved in 2025 to a larger, brighter space.
