The most convenient district for arriving in Tokyo, and the densest cluster of luxury hotels.

Why this district

Marunouchi and Otemachi sit between Tokyo Station and the Imperial Palace. It is the most convenient place to arrive in Tokyo and the district with the densest cluster of luxury hotels.

Hotels in the towers

Aman Tokyo and Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi (190 rooms and suites with Jean-Michel Gathy interiors; opening) occupy upper floors beside the palace. Hoshinoya Tokyo is the ryokan in a tower (story), and Bulgari Hotel Tokyo sits above Tokyo Station (opening).

Smaller and older

Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi is an intimate 57-key hotel that received a Michelin Key and is home to Sézanne, which earned three Michelin stars. Palace Hotel Tokyo and The Peninsula Tokyo overlook the palace, and Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo is a short way east in Nihonbashi.
