Kang Minchul Restaurant
Classic French cooking reimagined through Korean and Asian flavours in Gangnam, one Michelin star.
French, reimagined through Asia
Kang Minchul Restaurant is a contemporary French restaurant on the fifth floor of 18 Dosan-daero 63-gil, in Gangnam, Seoul. It holds one Michelin star in the MICHELIN Guide Seoul & Busan 2026.
Many dishes are Korean or Asian reimaginations of classic French cooking, drawn from the chef’s collaborations and travels. Michelin cites unexpected pairings such as a sauce of burnt dried bamboo shoots and blueberries, and a French dish built on a broth of dried shiitake and miyeok. In 2025 the restaurant moved to a larger, brighter space, where everything from the earth- and nature-inspired design to the tableware was chosen with care.
