Wild Yeast
Seafood from the chef's hometown of Taizhou and a Burgundy-heavy wine list; one Michelin star.
The Restaurant
Wild Yeast serves Chinese contemporary cooking in a softly lit room where every table looks onto the open kitchen. The head chef is from Taizhou, and the Michelin Guide says the menus highlight the natural flavours of high-quality seafood shipped from his hometown.
Two dishes are named: yellow croaker braised in fish stock, and, in autumn, fried crab in curry sa cha sauce over pan-fried rice cake. The wine list runs to thousands of labels, mostly from Burgundy.
