Shanghai Cuisine (Wu Li Xiang)
Shanghainese cooking by a Shanghai-born team at Pacific Century Place, two Michelin stars.
Shanghai cooking, by Shanghai cooks
Shanghai Cuisine, also known as Wu Li Xiang, is on the south side of Pacific Century Place in Chaoyang and holds two Michelin stars in the 2026 guide. The inspectors describe a cosy, understated room in neutral greys and teal green.
The head chef and most of the kitchen team are natives of Shanghai who have worked there since opening, so they know the classic repertoire well. The seasonal menu uses Jiangzhe ingredients that are hard to find in Beijing, and the house signature is seared Angus beef cubes in a peppery Shanghai-style sauce.
The restaurant is listed as good for family groups. Menus change with the season.
