The Restaurant

Taïrroir is led by chef Kai, who draws on about two decades of Taiwanese and French cooking. The Michelin Guide calls the restaurant his love letter to his home island: Taiwanese contemporary cooking with Western technique, seasonal local produce, and dish names that rhyme with idioms.

The gold-and-white dining room has a copper-clad ceiling meant to evoke Taiwan’s rolling hills, with Taiwanese songs playing. Service is described as polished and attentive.

Good to Know

Taïrroir holds three Michelin stars in the 2026 guide. Opening days are limited, with lunch on most days but dinner only on Thursdays and closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and bookings go directly through the restaurant. See Taiwan for the wider picture.
