Huaiyang Fu
Classic Huaiyang cooking in a period mansion with a stone garden in Dongcheng.
Huaiyang classics in a mansion
Huaiyang Fu occupies a period mansion on Andingmenwai Street in Dongcheng, with a stone garden and carved wooden windows that the Michelin inspectors call a fitting backdrop for polished cooking. It is listed in the 2026 Michelin Guide Beijing; the guide page consulted does not show a star, so OKYTO’s earlier starred listing should be confirmed.
The menu focuses on classic Huaiyang dishes, and the inspectors also recommend the seasonal menu. Dishes they name are braised pork belly in brown sauce with arrowroot, sautéed swamp eel in pepper sauce, and hand-peeled lake shrimps with fox nuts, which they describe as velvety and recommend with aged vinegar.
It is priced at the lower end of the Michelin range and is listed as family-friendly. Menus change with the season.
