Fu Rong Huang
Traditional Sichuan cooking by a veteran team, at a modest price, one star.
Traditional Sichuan, carefully executed
Fu Rong Huang is a Sichuan restaurant on Guanghuacun Street in Qingyang, in the lower price bracket of Michelin’s starred restaurants and listed as good for eating like a local. It holds one star. The dining room offers privacy, with tables separated by wooden slatted partitions, and there are private rooms.
The veteran kitchen team specialises in traditional Sichuanese dishes, many of which require careful execution. The inspectors call the sautéed pork liver with chilli perfectly cooked with a suitable level of numbing heat, and the classic cold appetiser fu qi fei pian, sliced beef offal in chilli oil, springy and flavourful.
