Baan Tepa
Thai tasting menu rooted in farming communities, two Michelin stars.
Baan Tepa is chef Chudaree “Tam” Debhakam’s Thai restaurant in Bangkok’s Ramkhamhaeng area. It was awarded two Michelin stars at the 2024 Michelin Guide Thailand ceremony.
The food
The cooking is a personal tasting menu that puts local farming communities and Thai ingredients first. It draws on regional dishes, among them Northeastern Thai noodles, Akha hilltribe dishes and Northern Thai spices.
Why it matters
It shows Thai fine dining led by a young chef and rooted in producers rather than imported luxury. For the wider picture of the city’s tables, see Sorn Becomes Thailand’s First Three-Star Restaurant.
