Why we recommend it
Dusit Thani Bangkok is the Thai-owned alternative to the international brands. The original 1970 hotel was a city landmark; the new building, opened in 2024, has half as many rooms, each of at least 50 square metres with a window seat over the park, and interiors by André Fu.
Pieces of the old hotel were carried into the new one, including the golden spire and the murals and pillars of the Benjarong restaurant, which gives it a sense of continuity that new hotels rarely have.
Location
The hotel is on the corner of Silom and Rama IV roads, opposite Lumpini Park, beside the Sala Daeng BTS and Si Lom MRT stations. It forms part of the Dusit Central Park development.
