The Restaurant

Fujiya 1935 serves lunch only, and a couple runs the kitchen. The Michelin Guide says the chef draws on childhood experiences and the landscapes of rural valleys to create cooking that reverberates in all five senses, with colour, sound, texture, aroma and taste building as the courses progress.

The inspectors add that the couple deliver an illustrated message to the table as a sign of the season.

Good to Know

The restaurant holds two Michelin stars in the 2026 guide and sits in the top price band. Lunch is served Monday to Saturday in a single hour, and booking goes through a third-party platform. See Osaka for the wider picture.
