Zhiguan Courtyard
Liaoning fisherman-style Dongbei cooking beside a gallery and historical garden, one star.
Dongbei fishermen’s food, by a garden
Zhiguan Courtyard is annexed to an art gallery on Jinyu Hutong in Dongcheng, with floor-to-ceiling windows over a historical garden. It holds one Michelin star in the 2026 guide.
The menu recreates Liaoning fisherman-style dishes with produce from the Changbai Mountains and fish from the Bohai Sea and Liao River. Inspectors highlight rice paddy field crab tofu, which they call silky, custardy and rich in umami, and sliced sea snail sautéed with scallion, which has a bouncy texture and strong wok hei.
Dongbei cooking is rarely seen at this level, which is part of the interest. Menus follow the season.
