Xin Rong Ji (Xinyuan South Road)
The flagship of the Taizhou group in Chaoyang, with three Michelin stars and a pre-ordered 28-day duck.
Taizhou cooking at its flagship
Xin Rong Ji’s Xinyuan South Road restaurant is the group’s flagship, on the first floor of the East Tower of Genesis Beijing in Chaoyang, and holds three Michelin stars in the 2026 guide. The inspectors describe an elegant but relaxed dining space in a modern Chinese style.
The menu centres on Taizhou cooking and fish from the East China Sea. Dishes match the group’s other branches except for a 28-day-old Peking duck served only here and needing to be pre-ordered. The inspectors praise a duck stew with fish maw and taro, with very tender, starchy taro. The group’s original restaurant opened in Linhai, Zhejiang, in 1995, and the group has dozens of branches across China.
The restaurant has counter dining and an interesting wine list. Menus change, so confirm what is being served.
