Ji Pin Court
Detail-obsessed traditional Cantonese cooking in Xuhui, from sand-ginger claypot chicken to pu'er-smoked pigeon, two Michelin stars.
Cantonese precision in Xuhui
Ji Pin Court is a traditional Cantonese restaurant on the third floor of 55 South Wulumuqi Road, in the Xuhui district of Shanghai, which Michelin calls an oasis in the busy city centre. It holds two Michelin stars in the MICHELIN Guide Shanghai Jiangsu Zhejiang 2026.
Michelin describes a chef who is particular about every detail, and the signature dishes show it. In the claypot chicken with sand ginger, every piece of meat and every condiment is cut to the same size; the tea-smoked pigeon takes its smoky depth from pu’er leaves while keeping the flesh juicy. A sommelier pairs the food from a well-chosen wine list.
