Why we recommend it
White Swan Hotel holds a special place in the history of modern China as one of the first international hotels to open after the reform era began. Set on the Pearl River at the edge of Shamian Island, it offers a very different atmosphere from the towers of the new city, with the old districts and teahouses of Liwan on its doorstep.
