Michelin Guide Singapore 2026: André Chiang Returns With Two Stars

The tenth Singapore edition, announced on 4 August 2026, keeps Les Amis, Odette and Zén at three stars and brings André Chiang back with two stars for 1887 by André.

The tenth edition of the MICHELIN Guide Singapore was announced on 4 August 2026. It lists 307 establishments, of which 45 hold stars: three with three stars, nine with two and 33 with one.

The three-star restaurants are unchanged. They are Les Amis, the French restaurant on Scotts Road that has been open since 1994; Odette, Julien Royer’s restaurant at the National Gallery; and Zén, the Singapore outpost of Björn Frantzén’s restaurant in Stockholm. Odette and Les Amis were first promoted together in 2019.

The main news was at two stars. 1887 by André entered the guide directly at that level and was also named opening of the year. It marks the return to Singapore of André Chiang, the Taiwanese chef whose Restaurant André held two stars until he closed it in 2018, and it is at Raffles Singapore, the hotel that opened in the year of its name. Seroja, where chef Kevin Wong cooks a tasting menu drawn from the flavours of the Malay archipelago, was promoted from one star, and keeps its Green Star for sustainable practice.

Six restaurants received a first star. Three are Chinese: Cherry Garden by Chef Fei and Jin Ting Wan, both Cantonese, and Yong Fu, which serves the cuisine of Ningbo. Three are Japanese or Japanese-influenced: Sushi Kimura +, the tempura restaurant Tenshima, and Loca Niru, which combines Japanese and French cooking and whose chef, Shusuke Kubota, received the young chef award.

The guide noted that twelve restaurants have held at least one star in every edition since the first in 2016, among them Candlenut, the Peranakan restaurant, CUT by Wolfgang Puck and Waku Ghin. Singapore’s guide is also known for its hawker stalls and coffee shops, which make up much of the Bib Gourmand list.

For travellers, the strength of the Singapore selection lies in its range within a small area: classical French, modern Asian, Cantonese, Japanese and the food of the region can all be eaten at the highest level within a few kilometres. The city’s newer hotels, including The Singapore EDITION and Raffles Sentosa, have added restaurants of their own.
