The 326-room hotel sits within the Parc.1 complex on Yeouido, an island in the Han River in Seoul.
Parc.1 was designed by British architect Richard Rogers, and the hotel is connected underground to Yeouido station on subway lines 5 and 9. Inside, the design brief paired Korean aesthetics with a contemporary approach, spread over 29 floors.
Four food and drink venues anchor the hotel. Spectrum works across Southeast Asian and Western cooking from two open kitchens, while The Atrium Lounge serves artisanal coffee, tea and champagne. At the top, on the 29th floor, Mariposa offers modern European tasting menus with a terrace, and M29 is the signature rooftop bar, focused on cocktails and views of the Han River.
Leisure facilities include an indoor swimming pool, a spa, and a fitness centre equipped with Technogym Artis machines. A Fairmont Gold floor provides a hotel-within-a-hotel for guests on higher categories, and events take up 1,995 square metres, including a Grand Ballroom, ten meeting rooms and Gallery 7, a full floor of function spaces.
“We feel privileged to be located within the landmark Parc.1 Complex, one of the capital’s newest and most prestigious addresses,” said general manager Carl Gagnon at the launch.
