Tenjinbashi Aoki
A sukiya-style Osaka counter where seasons and festivals shape the menu; two Michelin stars.
Seasons and festivals at the counter
Tenjimbashi Aoki is a counter restaurant in a sukiya-style interior in Tenjimbashi, Kita-ku, Osaka, and holds two Michelin stars in the MICHELIN Guide Kyoto Osaka 2026. The chef learned his guiding principles at a restaurant in Hozenji Alley, where he was entrusted with the appetiser platters.
The Michelin inspectors note scrupulous attention to the ceremonial space, the food, the serving vessels and the sense of season. He grows flowers to decorate the room and collects seasonal vessels, and his assortments of dishes celebrate the seasons and their festivals.
