Xin Rong Ji (Chengdu)
The Chengdu branch of the Taizhou chain, with views of the Twin Towers and stars rising to three.
Taizhou cooking with a view
Xin Rong Ji’s Chengdu restaurant is on the fifth floor of the Chinese Financial Center, with a spacious room divided into areas and views of the Twin Towers. It held two Michelin stars in the 2026 guide, and the current selection lists three.
The inspectors note that some ingredients are flown in from Taizhou, and that seasonal seafood and meat, including live seafood from Dalian and lamb from Hulunbuir, are prepared to highlight natural flavours. They recommend the raw crab marinated in amber yellow wine, when available, for its soft, sticky, umami-rich roe.
The group’s original restaurant opened in Linhai, Zhejiang, in 1995. There is a wine list and a terrace. Menus change.
