A Parisian salon above the harbour

Petrus is on level 56 of the Island Shangri-La at Pacific Place, Admiralty, in Hong Kong, with views over Victoria Harbour, and holds one Michelin star in the MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong Macau 2026; the hotel lists the star every year since 2020. Heavy drapes, thick carpets and formally laid tables give it, in the Michelin inspectors’ words, the look of a grand Parisian salon.

Executive chef Uwe Opocensky, formerly executive chef of Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, cooks contemporary French food on a seasonal, ingredient-led menu, with guéridon service at the table. The cellar holds more than 12,000 bottles, and the Michelin Guide notes 45 vintages of Château Pétrus going back to 1928. Two private rooms seat up to 20 and 33.
