Kappo at a 30-foot hinoki counter
Zuicho is a Japanese kappo restaurant reached through The Karl Lagerfeld Macau in the Grand Lisboa Palace Resort, and it holds one Michelin star. Chef Yoshinori Kinomoto, from Osaka, has spent nearly three decades in high-end omakase restaurants and was previously based in Ishikawa, which shaped his seafood cooking.
The room seats 10 at a 30-foot hinoki counter shipped from Japan in one piece. Nine- or 11-course menus change daily and mix raw and cooked small plates: chilled somen, sushi and sashimi, takikomi rice with seasonal seafood, Satsuma A5 wagyu cutlets, and a mochi dessert. A sake pairing is available.
It is closed on Mondays, and lunch is served only at weekends and on public holidays. Reservations are required.
