MÀU
A gastro wine bar opposite the Temple of Literature, with an open kitchen and a chef's menu.
Wine and a modern Vietnamese menu
MÀU is a gastro wine bar at 5 Văn Miếu Street, directly opposite the Temple of Literature, on two floors with an open kitchen and counter seats on the ground floor. It was added to the Michelin Selected list in 2026, described as a centrally located modern Vietnamese restaurant and wine bar.
There is an à la carte menu and a seasonal chef’s menu. A summer menu included Miyagi oyster, tiger prawn-filled quẩy and salmon tartare, then a contemporary take on cá om chuối đậu (fish braised with green banana and tofu) and pork cheek with pumpkin rice, ending with puffed-rice ice cream. Wines are offered by the glass, and a four-wine pairing is available.
A young founding team runs it. A reviewer found nothing to criticise, though the founder acknowledged early missteps with management. Menus change.
