Mammom
Home-cooked classics from north, centre and south Vietnam, on Phan Đình Phùng Street.
A family meal from across Vietnam
Mammom opened in 2024 at 23 Phan Đình Phùng, on a street lined with old trees, and belongs to Viet Deli, which also runs HOME Hanoi. The name comes from a child’s first words, and chef Trương Minh Triết created a menu of home-cooked dishes from the north, centre and south.
Highlights include grilled beef wrapped in lolot leaves, Hanoi pillow-shaped dumplings, a lotus stem salad with shrimp and pork, roasted duck with galangal and sesame, stewed snakehead fish with black pepper and tamarind-glazed crab, with a Cà Mau crab hotpot at the top end of the price range. The room is spacious, with parquet floors, hand-carved timber furniture and original Vietnamese paintings and sculptures.
It was a finalist for Asia’s Finest Local Restaurant (Vietnam) at the 2025 Asia Hospitality Awards, and was added to the Bib Gourmand list in 2026. Menus change.
