Why we recommend it
Tsim Sha Tsui has grand hotels on the harbour and plainer ones behind it. Mondrian is a design-led hotel in the dense streets around Hart Avenue, among bars and restaurants, with a tower tall enough to see over them. It is aimed at travellers who want Kowloon street life at the door rather than a lobby on the waterfront.
Carna is a destination restaurant in its own right, and the West Kowloon Cultural District is a short ride away. For the classic alternative nearby, see The Peninsula Hong Kong, and for the reopened harbourfront neighbour, our article on Regent Hong Kong.
Location
At 8A Hart Avenue in Tsim Sha Tsui, on the Kowloon side of Hong Kong, close to the West Kowloon Cultural District.
