Why we recommend it
The Mekong Delta was long a day trip from Ho Chi Minh City. This resort made it a place to stay for two or three nights. The reason to come is the river: the resort's boat leaves before sunrise for Cai Rang, the largest floating market in the delta, and other outings follow narrow canals past orchards and old merchants' houses.
The hotel carries the ideas of its founder, the creator of Aman, in calm, well-proportioned buildings and quiet service.
Location
The resort occupies Au islet in the Hau River, opposite the city of Can Tho, and is reached by the resort's boat from a pier in the city in a few minutes. Can Tho is about three hours by road from Ho Chi Minh City and has an airport with domestic flights. The dry season, from December to April, is the most comfortable.
