The St. Regis Bangkok and Matara Build an Afternoon Tea Around Pearls

Thai jeweller Matara inspires a pearl-themed afternoon tea at The St. Regis Bangkok.

The St. Regis Bangkok has announced a collaboration with Matara, the Thai luxury pearl brand, for a limited-edition afternoon tea titled The Art of Pearl.

Revealed on January 20, 2026, the set is served at The Drawing Room from February 1 to April 30, daily from 2.30pm to 4pm. It is priced at THB 2,800++ for two, including coffee or tea.

Both the sweet and savoury creations and the way they are displayed take their inspiration from pearls, translating Matara’s contemporary approach to jewellery into the hotel’s afternoon ritual. The collaboration also marks Matara’s 11th anniversary, with the brand using the occasion to position pearls as something to be worn every day rather than kept for special events.

Afternoon tea has become one of the most effective meeting points between Bangkok’s luxury hotels and local design brands. For a jeweller, a hotel drawing room offers something a boutique cannot: a long, seated moment in which guests experience the brand’s aesthetic before they ever see a piece in a display case.
