Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing and Manolo Blahnik Map Beijing in an Afternoon Tea

Manolo Blahnik’s design world inspires afternoon tea overlooking Beijing’s Forbidden City.

Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing, Beijing has introduced a limited-edition afternoon tea created with British luxury footwear and accessories brand Manolo Blahnik.

Titled Manolo’s Map — Beijing and reported on July 14, 2026, the tea is served at Cafe Zi, the hotel’s signature venue overlooking the Forbidden City, from July 11 to August 31, with a limited number of sets each day.

A walk through the city on a plate

The concept is built around the idea of exploring Beijing’s historic streets and its contemporary lifestyle. Manolo Blahnik’s design language is translated into a selection of savoury bites, pastries and bespoke tea pairings, linking fashion, gastronomy and the city’s cultural landscape.

The collaboration is one of many partnerships between luxury hotels and fashion houses in which dining becomes a medium for storytelling. For a footwear brand, the format offers a way to express its world in a setting where guests linger, while the hotel gains a seasonal highlight rooted in its exceptional location.
