Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok and Parfums Dusita Create the Light of Bangkok Afternoon Tea
Parfums Dusita brings a fragrance-inspired afternoon tea to Mandarin Oriental’s Bangkok anniversary.
Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok has created the Light of Bangkok Afternoon Tea with Parfums Dusita, the Paris-based fragrance house founded by Thai perfumer Pissara Umavijani.
Announced on July 30, 2026, the afternoon tea is served at The Authors’ Lounge from August 1 to 31. It is part of Unfolding Legacies, the programme celebrating the hotel’s 150th anniversary.
A bespoke fragrance on the plate
The starting point is Light of Bangkok, the fragrance Parfums Dusita created specifically for the anniversary. Executive Pastry Chef Pablo Gicquel and the culinary team have designed each savoury and sweet creation to reflect one of its notes. A fragrance workshop is also offered, ending with the afternoon tea so that guests experience the scent through both smell and taste.
The collaboration follows the hotel’s anniversary capsule with Sporty & Rich earlier in the year. Together, they show how the 150th anniversary is being used to connect the riverside landmark with creative brands, including a fragrance house with Thai roots that has built its reputation in Paris.
