Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit Opens as the Brand’s First Hotel in Thailand
A 474-room property in Bangkok’s Sukhumvit district marks Fairmont’s Thailand debut.
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has made its Thailand debut with the opening of Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit, a major new luxury hotel in one of the capital’s busiest hospitality districts.
Announced on August 18, 2026 by Fairmont parent Accor and partner Asset World Corp, the hotel has 416 guestrooms and 58 suites. Thai architecture and interior design practice PIA developed the design around a “blooming stage” concept that draws on Thailand’s botanical heritage.
A large-scale new arrival in Sukhumvit
The opening adds significant luxury inventory to Sukhumvit, an area already dense with international hotels, restaurants and nightlife. Fairmont’s arrival is notable both for the scale of the property and because it establishes the brand in Thailand for the first time.
The hotel’s food and entertainment programme is being introduced in phases. Wiggle Room, a supper club with live performance, was scheduled to open in mid-September, while two rooftop dining concepts on levels 32 and 33 are planned for December 2026. Accor says one will combine Italian and Japanese influences and the other will focus on contemporary Thai cuisine.
The phased rollout means the hotel will continue evolving through the end of the year even though accommodation is already operating.
