Capella Hanoi and Amanoi Earn Three Michelin Keys
Vietnam's first Michelin Key selection places an opera-themed city hotel and a national-park resort at the top tier, with 13 properties recognised nationwide.
Capella Hanoi and Amanoi became the first hotels in Vietnam to receive three Michelin Keys, the guide’s highest hotel distinction, when the 2025 selection was launched on 8 October 2025. In total, 13 Vietnamese properties were recognised.
Capella Hanoi, on Le Phung Hieu Street near the Opera House, has 47 rooms and was designed by Bill Bensley around the opera houses of the 1920s. The hotel opened in March 2021 as the first Capella in Vietnam and already held Michelin recognition for its restaurants, including a star for Hibana by Koki.
Amanoi sits within Nui Chua National Park in Khanh Hoa Province, overlooking Vinh Hy Bay. Its villas and pavilions come with private pools, and the resort places much of its focus on wellness.
Two Keys went to Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai near Hoi An, Banyan Tree Lang Co near Hue and Zannier Bai San Ho in Dak Lak Province. One Key was awarded to eight hotels: Azerai Ke Ga Bay, Legacy Mekong in Can Tho, Six Senses Con Dao, Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, Park Hyatt Saigon, Six Senses Ninh Van Bay, Regent Phu Quoc and Hotel de la Coupole – MGallery in Sapa.
