Sushi Kissho by Miyakawa
Masaaki Miyakawa's first restaurant outside Japan, an Edomae omakase at Raffles at Galaxy Macau.
A Japanese master’s first overseas counter
Sushi Kissho by Miyakawa is at Raffles at Galaxy Macau, and it is the first restaurant outside Japan for chef Masaaki Miyakawa, whom Robb Report describes as one of six sushi masters in Japan with three Michelin stars. It holds one Michelin star in Macau.
The meal is traditional Edomae-style omakase of almost 20 courses, including ten sushi courses, inspired by wabi-sabi. The counter is a 300-year-old kiso hinoki slab with maple-leaf motifs, with 10 seats at the counter and 10 in a private room. Ingredients have included Hokkaido corn pudding with sea urchin, Shimane black abalone, chu-toro, kohada and kuruma-ebi.
Menus follow the season, so confirm what is being served.
