Lai Ching Heen
Jade-themed Cantonese dining at Regent Hong Kong, two Michelin stars in 2026.
Lai Ching Heen is the Cantonese restaurant on the ground floor of Regent Hong Kong, on Salisbury Road in Tsim Sha Tsui. Regent describes a celebrated legacy spanning four decades. It holds two Michelin stars in the 2026 Michelin Guide Hong Kong & Macau, and two Diamonds in the 2026 Black Pearl Restaurant Guide.
The room and the kitchen
The décor is inspired by a jade jewellery box, with jade-themed design elements down to the place settings, and Victoria Harbour views. Executive chef Lau Yiu Fai has spent more than thirty years at the hotel; the cooking combines traditional Cantonese techniques with modern creativity. Private dining rooms seat groups of 10 to 36.
Why it matters
The hotel was reimagined by Chi Wing Lo, and Lai Ching Heen is the dining room that carries its Cantonese tradition. OKYTO recommends it for a formal Cantonese meal facing the harbour.
