Four Seasons Tokyo at Marunouchi Receives a Michelin Key

Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi has received One Michelin Key in the 2026 Michelin Guide hotel selection.

The recognition was announced on September 25, 2026 and follows a recent transformation of the intimate 57-key hotel near Tokyo Station.

A small hotel in a high-density district

The Marunouchi property stands apart from many of Tokyo’s large luxury hotels through its compact scale and highly central railway location. Its 57 rooms make it one of the smaller internationally branded luxury hotels in the city, with a service model built around a relatively low room count.

The Michelin Key programme recognises hotels for the quality and distinctiveness of the overall stay rather than restaurant performance. The award therefore adds another point of reference for travellers comparing Tokyo’s increasingly broad range of luxury accommodation.

Tokyo continues to see rapid development at the top end of the market, making reinvestment and clear positioning increasingly important for established properties.
