The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo Serves a Bee de Chaumet Tea

Honey, honeycomb motifs and custom tableware translate the Parisian jeweller's bee-themed collection into a spring menu 45 floors above Roppongi.

The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo announced on 16 March 2026 an afternoon tea created with the Parisian jeweller Chaumet. The Bee de Chaumet Afternoon Tea was served from 1 April to 31 May 2026 in The Lobby Lounge on the 45th floor of Midtown Tower in Roppongi.

The menu is built around Chaumet’s Bee de Chaumet collection, which draws on the European belief that bees bring happiness and good fortune. Honey runs through the sweets: a honey-lemon tartlet, acacia honey flower cream, a yuzu-honey cheese mont-blanc and a mānuka honey mousse, alongside matcha macarons. Scones come plain and with honey and ginger.

The savouries lean on spring produce, from a new-onion mousse with pea purée to clam and asparagus tartare with a cherry-herb ponzu, and turnip-wrapped shrimp rillettes with caviar. Executive chef Sandro Gamba oversaw the menu, which is presented on original plates and linens with a honeycomb pattern.

The set costs ¥9,700 per person, or ¥12,700 with a glass of Champagne and ¥14,500 with Dom Pérignon; a ¥16,500 option guarantees a window seat. A mocktail named The Golden of the Beehive is offered at ¥1,700. Seatings last two hours between noon and 5pm.

Madame Figaro Japon noted that the collection reflects Chaumet’s 245-year heritage and its identity as a naturalist jeweller. More afternoon teas and hotel openings are in our Tokyo guide.
