Why we recommend it
Labuan Bajo is the departure point for Komodo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and most visitors have seen it only from the deck of a boat. This resort gives the trip a comfortable base on land, ten minutes from the airport, for the nights before and after the islands.
The design takes its references from the place: the Lingko rice fields of the Manggarai and the stilt houses of the sea nomads. The seven overwater villas are rare in Indonesia.
Location
The resort is at Labuan Bajo, at the western end of Flores in eastern Indonesia, a ten-minute drive from Komodo International Airport. Boats for Komodo National Park leave from the town.
