Sushi Kinetsu
An upmarket omakase counter at City of Dreams that took over the former Shinji by Kanesaka.
Sushi where Shinji used to be
Sushi Kinetsu is a Japanese omakase restaurant on the first floor of Nüwa at City of Dreams in Cotai, and holds one Michelin star in the 2026 guide. The inspectors describe it as the upmarket omakase restaurant formerly known as Shinji by Kanesaka, which closed during the Covid-19 period, with the same kitchen team.
The produce is carefully handled: fish is flown in from Japan three times a week, and the rice is from Yamagata, cooked in spring water from Kagoshima and dressed in a light-tasting vinegar. There are two menus. The restaurant is closed on Tuesdays and does not serve lunch except from Friday to Sunday.
Booking is essential. The guide does not name the chef, and menus vary with the catch.
