Why we recommend it
The hotel is a low building in a city of towers, arranged around a planted courtyard, and its public rooms are designed for the evening as much as for the stay. The Punch Room and the rooftop bar draw residents as well as guests, which gives it a life many hotels on Orchard Road lack.
FYSH is a reason to come in its own right: Josh Niland is known for his work with sustainably sourced fish, and this was his first venue outside Sydney. The location puts the shops of Orchard Road at the door.
