Why we recommend it
Busan is Korea’s second city and its principal port, and Haeundae is where it meets the sea. Signiel Busan puts Lotte’s most ambitious brand directly on that beach: the rooms are arranged for the view, and the outdoor infinity pool looks over the same water. For travellers who know Signiel Seoul, high in Lotte World Tower, this is its lower, coastal counterpart, a hotel of balconies and sea air rather than altitude. OKYTO covered its arrival in the article on Signiel Busan’s opening in the LCT tower.
The food is a second reason. The city’s restaurants have been covered by the Michelin Guide since 2024, as OKYTO reported in its article on Busan’s first stars, and the hotel’s own Cantonese restaurant and buffet give a strong base between meals in town.
Rooms & Suites
There are 260 rooms on the 3rd to 19th floors, and the plan gives every one of them a balcony and an ocean view, towards Haeundae Beach and Dongbaekseom Island. HBA’s interiors keep to a blue sea theme, so that the room reads as a frame for the water outside.
At opening the rooms were fitted with Simmons Beautyrest mattresses, Frette linen and Diptyque bath products. Salon de Signiel, the lounge on the 8th floor, is open to all guests for light food and drinks and includes a family area for younger children.
Dining
Chaoran is the hotel’s Cantonese restaurant, with an interior modelled on 1920s Hong Kong and a menu built on dim sum and Chinese barbecue; when it opened in 2020 its chef was Lee Che-ryang, formerly of Hakkasan in London. Chaoran Bar serves cocktails and small plates in the evening.
The View is the buffet restaurant, with live seafood, a robata grill and dishes from a brick oven. The Lounge and the Pastry Salon opened with menus on which the French chef Bruno Ménard, who has held three Michelin stars, acted as consultant. For dinner outside the hotel, OKYTO’s Busan listings include Palate and Mori.
Wellness & Spa
The outdoor infinity pool faces the ocean. The spa opened as a partnership with Chantecaille, the New York skincare house, which made its Korean debut here.
Location
The hotel is in the LCT Landmark Tower, part of the Haeundae LCT development, on Haeundae beach in the east of Busan. The tower was the tallest building in the city when the hotel opened, and Dongbaekseom Island is in view from the rooms. Haeundae is the natural base for Busan as a seaside city.
