Why we recommend it
This is a city resort on a very large scale, and it should be chosen for what that scale provides: rooms that start at 65 square metres, a heated infinity pool on the largest pool deck on Jeju, a Korean jjimjil spa and enough restaurants to eat somewhere different every night. It is ten minutes from the airport, which makes it a practical first or last stop on the island.
It is not a retreat, and travellers who want the coast and the quiet of the south should look to Seogwipo. But as a base for exploring by car, with modern Korean art, design and food under one roof, it does its job well. The island's long-distance footpaths, the Olle trails, are the natural counterpoint to a stay here.
Location
The hotel occupies the Jeju Dream Tower in Jeju City, on the north side of the island, about ten minutes by car from Jeju International Airport.
