Rosewood's second urban hotel in mainland China fills the upper 39 floors of Guangzhou's 108-storey CTF Finance Centre, with interiors by Yabu Pushelberg.

It is the brand’s second urban property in mainland China. The hotel has 251 guest rooms, including 31 suites and four duplex suites, with the smallest rooms measuring 55 square metres. A further 355 Rosewood Residences serviced apartments, from studios to duplexes, share the tower.
The tower itself is by Kohn Pedersen Fox. Toronto-based Yabu Pushelberg designed the hotel interiors, Hong Kong studio Perception handled the residences, and a Bangkok firm took on the landscaping. Stephan Tschuppik was appointed managing director, with Richard Hilton leading the culinary team.
Seven dining venues are spread through the building. Lingnan House serves Cantonese cuisine, Brick Iron is a Japanese restaurant on the 107th floor, described at opening as the highest restaurant in mainland China, and Patina on the 95th floor covers all-day European dining. Sesame, a café and patisserie, sits at street level, while Sky Bar occupies the 107th floor.
Sense, A Rosewood Spa spans 2,628 square metres over the 93rd and 94th floors, alongside a 25-metre indoor pool, a yoga studio and a fitness centre. Events are held in a 958-square-metre Grand Ballroom and the Sky Mansion on the 108th floor, which the group called the highest event space in China.
The opening also leaned on the building’s engineering: guests reach the upper floors in elevators travelling at 21 metres per second, and Rosewood billed the property as China’s first 5G-enabled hotel. The group’s full announcement is on the Rosewood website; more on the city is in our Guangzhou guide.
