IHG’s Noted Collection Is Coming to Tokyo with Hotels in Shinjuku and Ginza

IHG Hotels & Resorts is bringing its new Noted Collection brand to Japan through two hotel signings in Tokyo, one in Shinjuku and another in Ginza.

Announced on September 28, 2026, the projects represent the first Noted Collection hotels signed in Japan. The Shinjuku property will be a conversion scheduled to open in 2027, while the Ginza hotel is a new-build project planned for 2029.

Two very different Tokyo neighbourhoods

The 207-key Shinjuku hotel will sit in Kabukicho, close to Golden Gai. IHG says it will undergo renovation and rebranding before opening with its own identity. The 81-key Ginza property will be located in Ginza 8-chome and will include family-friendly suites, a restaurant and bar, and a fitness centre.

Noted Collection is designed for independent hotels that retain individual character while joining IHG’s commercial and loyalty platforms. The Tokyo signings therefore add another collection-style brand to a city where international hotel groups are increasingly competing through distinctive neighbourhood properties as well as conventional luxury towers.
