Banyan Tree Yangcheng Lake Announced Near Suzhou, With Private Hot Springs on Every Terrace
Banyan Group announced Banyan Tree Yangcheng Lake in September 2024: 70 rooms and villas, each with its own hot-spring pool, beside a Suzhou lake.
On 12 September 2024 Banyan Group announced Banyan Tree Yangcheng Lake, on the shore of Yangcheng Lake near Suzhou in the Yangtze River Delta. The resort has 70 guest rooms and villas, each with a private hot-spring pool on its terrace. Its design theme is “Dreaming Over the Lake”, drawn from the landscapes of the lake.
It has a Banyan Tree Spa, a gym, hot springs and an indoor heated pool, and two restaurants: Mingyue, for all-day dining, and Baiyun, for Chinese cooking. The announcement came with a second hotel on the same lake, Garrya Yangcheng Lake, with 210 rooms and suites, a “Garden Fantasy” theme and a farm supplying its two restaurants. The release did not give an opening date for either.
The lake is a short way from Suzhou, where a luxury hotel such as Four Seasons Hotel Suzhou serves the city and its gardens. The resort is for a different kind of stay, built around bathing.
