The Fullerton Ocean Park Hotel Hong Kong opened its doors on 18 July 2022 in an early-stage soft opening. The 425-room hotel sits on the Southside of Hong Kong Island beside the Ocean Park theme park, around 15 minutes by car from Central.

The hotel is a joint venture between Sino Land Company Limited and Empire Group Holdings Limited, operated by The Fullerton Hotels and Resorts and affiliated with Preferred Hotels & Resorts. Its design draws on the early history of Aberdeen, once a busy trading port filled with the fragrance of incense, as part of a wider nod to Hong Kong heritage.

All 425 rooms face the sea. Two signature suites have private pools and outdoor terraces, and nine rooms are themed for children. Families are a clear target: the property includes a kids’ lagoon and The Explorers, an indoor children’s zone of 6,400 square feet, alongside an infinity pool with sea views, a spa and a 24-hour gym.

The signature restaurant is Jade, a Cantonese fine-dining room led by chef Lai Ching Shing. Lighthouse Lounge, Lighthouse Café and Satay Inn opened with the hotel, with the Italian restaurant Giardino scheduled to follow later in 2022. Events are centred on a pillar-free ballroom for up to 500 guests.

The project also received WELL Precertification under the WELL Building Standard v2, the first hotel project in Hong Kong and mainland China to do so, according to the hotel. Room categories and facilities are listed on the Fullerton website.
