Fook Lam Moon
A classic Cantonese institution in Wan Chai with more than 70 years of history; one Michelin star.
A Cantonese house with a long memory
Fook Lam Moon’s Wan Chai restaurant is on Johnston Road in Hong Kong, and holds one Michelin star in the MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong Macau 2026. The Michelin inspectors count more than 70 years of history and call it an institution of classic Cantonese cooking; Frommer’s records that the family began with a catering business for private parties before opening in Wan Chai in 1972.
A stable kitchen team keeps the food consistent, from dim sum to traditional dishes. The inspectors’ standouts are live seafood cooked in various ways, deep-fried crispy chicken, baked stuffed crab shell and a gourmet soup served in a whole winter melon. Some dishes need to be pre-ordered.
