Let’s Sea is the beach restaurant of Let’s Sea Hua Hin Al Fresco Resort, on Soi Talay 12 at Khao Takiab in Hua Hin. It serves from breakfast to dinner, with a beach bar and terrace beside it.

The resort describes the restaurant as a former beachfront eatery and says many of its dishes come from the owners’ “parents’ kitchens”, the home cooking they grew up with.

The local catch

The menu divides into Thai and international main courses, but the local catch runs through both. The kitchen names blue crab, squid and clams caught in local waters, river prawns and sea bass, and organic vegetables grown in Hua Hin.

Som tum comes with Hua Hin crab. An old-style yellow curry pairs Hua Hin pineapple with black mussels, and local crab is also stir-fried with yellow curry powder. Elsewhere there is tom klong with crispy fish, a roast duck curry with lychee and pineapple, and miang kana, a Thai snack of kale leaves with a roasted coconut sauce.

The rest of the menu is broad, from pasta and pizza to oysters and a grilled seafood platter.

The sea does the rest. At high tide, a Travel Weekly reviewer wrote in 2019, the restaurant felt “like you are literally walking on water.”
