Why we recommend it
Phnom Penh is often given a night on the way to Angkor, and it deserves more. The Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda, the National Museum and its Khmer sculpture, and the riverfront fill several days. This is a comfortable base for them: the rooms are large for the city and the view takes in the two rivers.
The interiors give real space to Cambodian craft and contemporary art. It combines well with the forest camp of Shinta Mani Wild, a drive of a few hours, and with the temples of Angkor.
Location
The hotel occupies the upper floors of Vattanac Capital at 66 Monivong Boulevard, in the central cultural and business district of Phnom Penh, near Wat Phnom. The riverfront, the Royal Palace and the National Museum are a short drive away.
