Why we recommend it
When it opened, this was one of the most ambitious resorts built in Vietnam, and its plan has aged well: the villas, the three terraced pools and the beach form one composition. The renovation keeps that structure and brings paler finishes and new fabrics to rooms that were dark.
The position serves two purposes. The old town of Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is fifteen minutes away, and the beach is long and quiet. The cooking academy is among the resort's best-known activities, and Da Nang, half an hour away, is the starting point of The Vietage rail journey down the coast.
