InterContinental Branded Residences Are Coming to Sapa in Northwest Vietnam
IHG and Alphanam announce InterContinental’s first branded residences in northwest Vietnam.
IHG Hotels & Resorts and Alphanam Group have announced The Residences at InterContinental Sapa Resort, bringing InterContinental branded residences to northwest Vietnam for the first time.
Announced on September 8, 2026, the residential project will form part of the 83-hectare Alphora Muong Hoa International Resort Complex in Sapa’s Muong Hoa Valley.
Luxury hospitality expands beyond Vietnam’s major cities and beaches
The development is notable for its location. Sapa is best known for mountain landscapes, trekking and the cultures of communities in Lao Cai Province rather than for the large concentration of international luxury hotels found in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City or Vietnam’s coastal resort markets.
The residences are planned alongside the future InterContinental Sapa Resort, giving owners access to hotel services and amenities. IHG is expanding its branded-residential business alongside its luxury hotel portfolio, with other 2026 signings in Vietnam including The Regent Ho Tram.
The announcement reinforces Sapa’s gradual move upmarket while adding a major international hospitality brand to the destination’s development pipeline.
