IHG Plans Two New Hotels in New South Wales with Urban Property Group

Two new signings in New South Wales expand IHG’s partnership with Urban Property Group.

IHG Hotels & Resorts has expanded its partnership with Urban Property Group through two new hotel signings in New South Wales.

The September 16, 2026 agreement adds to IHG’s Australian development pipeline and reflects continued hotel investment outside the country’s most established central-city luxury districts.

Australia’s hotel pipeline keeps diversifying

New South Wales hospitality development increasingly spans mixed-use precincts, suburban centres and regional gateways rather than focusing exclusively on Sydney’s CBD. International operators are following that demand with brands designed for different trip types and price points.

For IHG, the two signings deepen an existing owner relationship, a common route to portfolio growth because repeat partnerships can reduce the friction of development and hotel operations.

As with all pipeline announcements, travellers should distinguish the signing from an opening: the projects will become bookable only as development progresses and launch dates are confirmed.
